Equine photo shoot sessions

April 17, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

I love being around horses and watching their personalities unfold as I get to know them and the people that love them.

When you have me out to do a portrait session, you can rest assured that it will be relaxed, informal and fun. I'll work really hard to keep you and your horse comfortable so the images we create will show the beauty of your relationship.

Here are some ideas of types of photos I can create for you

  • In-hand portraits
  • Riding
  • Driving
  • Barrel racing
  • Hunters and Jumpers
  • Fox Hunters
  • Eventing
  • Western
  • Cutting
  • Working livestock
  • Dressage
  • Liberty
  • Loose in a field
  • At a show or other event
  • Your ideas turned into images

I'm game for whatever showcases your horse's personality. No need to worry about your horse being perfect, I'm an horse person too so I "get it" and we'll get the shot even if your horse isn't perfect -- and besides, what fun is perfect?

The Pricing and Package

A session is $160 (USD) and usually lasts about 90-minutes and includes one 8x10 print, and the same image to share on social media sites, and an on-line preview gallery. Yes, I will discount session pricing if there are several people from your barn that want to have a photo shoot. I'm happy to do your shoot wherever you would like to and most people use the grounds where they keep their horses. There is an additional charge of $0.50/mile (round-trip) if you are outside a 40-mile radius from my office located in zip code 55316. (I have a passport and will travel anywhere, please contact me for more information and pricing.)

Before we get together I'll send you a guide so you know exactly what to expect from our session and how to prepare yourself and your horse.

After your session, I'll edit your photographs and arrange a time to meet with you (in person, via telephone or Skype or on-line) so you can see your images. (If I meet with you, you'll have a chance to touch-and-feel the products too. If you want to see the products at the time of the shoot, let me know and I'll bring them along.)

Gift Certificates

Yes, you are able to give someone a gift certificate for a session. Gift certificates are valid for 12-months and you may include a personalized message if you wish. Feeling generous? Add additional money so the recipient is able to apply it toward their purchases.

Questions, comments, want to book a shoot, buy a gift certificate, let me know.
